Last Christmas I decided to bake a pie, and remembered that there was a book of traditional New England recipes in a box of books I had bought at a tag sale - so I went looking for the book but it was not in the box and so it seemed I would have to look elsewhere for a pie recipe - then I noticed a faded dog-eared file card sticking out of an old romance novel that looked like a recipe.

I pulled the card out and was amazed to find hand-written recipe for Cape Cod Cranberry Pie! The book was from the 1940's and so was the recipe which makes a very nice pie, so I thought I would share it with you.
