You cannot punch the word "Freemasons" into an Internet search engine without the results including a large number of anti-masonic sites -- and in terms of conspiracy these sites cast a very wide net that includes some very unlikely charges.
There is an old saying that was popular in my unit in the RAAF that applies here: "Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action."
That observation is directly quoted from a line spoken by Auric Goldfinger, the arch nemesis and antagonistof hero, protagonist, and MI-6 Secret Agent James Bond (AKA 007), and I suspect that my using that quote here will just add a new layer to the anti-masonic conspiracy fears already present because hey! A known freemason just quoted Goldfinger!
For those of you who are not Masons and who are not familiar with the many anti-Masonic leagues out there, let me give you a briefing on just what it is that they believe is happening -- in their own words:
Anti-Mason "Expert" Robert Howard in a "white paper" entitled "11, 13, and 33 The Illuminati / Freemason Signature" published on the website supporting anti-masonic views called The Forbidden Knowledge.
According to Howard the Masons control Industry and government and are in reality a world-wide secret organization called The "Illuminati" and, not only do they taunt the suspicios with clues, they like to leave "clues" that identify their control by using key numbers.
Embedded in logos, historic photos, and that may be deciphered by adding and subtracting the value of the letters in the name or initials of a given corporate entity or government agency.
The relative numbers are 3, 7, 9, 11, 13, 33 and 39 - which are considered to be important Masonic Rank Numbers as well - and include the examples:
Government:
The Great Seal of the United States contains many suspicious numbers that point to Masonic clues.
- There are 13 leaves on the left branch;
- 13 berries;
- 13 stripes on the middle shield;
- 13 arrows on the right;
- 13 stars above the eagles head;
- 13 letters in the motto E Plurbis Unum on the ribbon;
- 13 letters in Annuit Coeptis; and
- 13 blocks top to bottom on the pyramid.
Religion:
During the Salem, Massachusetts witch trials of 1692, 13 women were executed.
Film and Television:
The communicator (in Star Trek) is a pyramid. Star Trek was created to get us ready for a fake alien invasion to usher in the New World Order.
In the movie Any Given Sunday The quarter back (sic) was number 13 and the receiver was number 33.
In the movie The Last Boy Scout Damon (Wayans) had the number 13 (shaved) on the back of his head.
Assassination / Deaths:
(Princess) Diana and Dodi Fayed died when a Mercedes provided by Mr. Al Fayed and driven by his employee, Henri Paul, ploughed into the 13th pillar in the Alma tunnel in Paris on August 31, 1997.
The Secret Code to Identify Masonic Controlled Entities:
- CBS Television – C B S (3 2 – 19)
- CNN News Network – C N N (3 14 14 = 3+1+4+1+4=13)
- The CIA – C I A (3 9 1=3+9+1=13)
- The FBI – F B I (6 2 9=6-2=4+9=13)
- The NSA – N S A (14 19 1=1+4=5-19=negative 14+1=negative13)
- The United States of America ? U S A (21 19 1=2x1=2+1=3+9=12+1=13)
In another "paper" written by Mr. Howard states that the Masonic Power Structure was behind the assassination or death of non-Masonic Presidents,
He reveals that all Masonic groups above the 3rd degree of Freemasonry are ruled by the "Jesuit General" and that under the orders of the Jesuit Order the French Revolution took place and Napoleon went to war against England – all under the guidance of Freemasons of course.
He goes on to suggest that noted patriot and statesman Benjamin Franklin might have made as many as 10 human sacrifices in the basement of his home in London while he was dispatched to represent America to the Court of St. James.
Those sacrifices were alegedly Masonic in nature. Finally – the kicker of all claims:–Prince Charles is the penultimate head of Freemasonry world-wide.
Freemasonry: Midwife to an Occult Empire
Terry Melanson published an article entitled Freemasonry: Midwife to an Occult Empire on the website CospiracyArchive.com (now deunct) that comprises a re-edit and update to an article he had written years before.
According to him he "learned a bit more about Freemasonry" and explains that he has been harassed and threatened by Masons who also happen to be Ministers or as he puts it – "men of the cloth" – though he does not name names or provide details.
In this article Mr. Melanson relates that Freemasonry is a religion and not a fraternity, and goes on to explain that what it is really about is the training of select members in occult powers – for nefarious purposes.
According to his research the vast majority of Masons are kept blind and in the dark about the true nature of The Craft, destined to remain locked into the lowest form of Masonry where they do charitable works because we can only presume from his words, they are not found worthy of the "true" power.
The author acknowledges that as a Christian himself he must mention all of the good works that the Masons do, but then points out that none of that really matters because of course they are also the architects of "one occult revival that has occurred on such a grand scale."

- Masons started the War in Iraq to get even for Sadam outlawing Freemasonry

- Masons worship the Devil

- Osama bin Laden was a Mason in the same lodge as Barack Obama
- South Park is a Mason plot to destroy the morals of children
- There is a secret Mason Chamber in the Senate and Congress
- There is a secret Mason Lodge in the Whitehouse
- Yale University is owned by the Masond
Realistically
According to the conspiracy community the Freemasons (aka Illuminati) are an all-powerful right-wing / left-wing elitist organization that runs the world.
A large number of these brave souls who are outing the Masonic conspiracy explain that they do so at great personal risk, because the Masons want them dead for revealing these secrets.
According to them, the Masons run the government – all governments except maybe Third World governments (but even those they are not totally convinced are not Masonically controlled) .
The government is who created and continues to maintain the Internet - a fact that prompts us to wonder, if the government is controlled by the Masons and the Masons do not want these people to publish their "secrets" thow come these sites are on the net?! If these people are right, than wouldn't the following scenario play out on a regular basis?
"Hey Jim, it's Secretary of State Poohbah, I just noticed that another one of those darn pesky conspiracy guys has put a bunch of our secrets on the Internet at dub-dub-dub-dot-masonsarefinks-dot-com and I was wondering if you could take care of it?"
"Well I appreciate you asking me that, Pooh! After all as the Prime Minister of England I don't have much to do what with the Grand Council of Really Powerful Guys actually running the nation – so I will be happy to take care of that matter for you! Shall I have SAS go out and smite the bugger?"
"No no! We wouldn't want those anti-Masons to have a martyr – can you imagine what they would say?! The Masons killed Terry Jones because he spoke the TRUTH! No, just blow up the ISP and um, oh what the hell, grab that Jones' guys dog, we'll sacrifice it at the next Lodge Meeting."
"Right-oh Pooh – tell Martha and the kids I said hullo will you? I'll see you at the next Lodge Meeting?"
"You're going to come to the DC meeting this Monday are you Jim?"
"Oh yes, in fact I like your Lodge the best – ever since we secretly built the UK-USA Chunnel Tunnel using secret technology from the Stargate Program to make the trip only fifteen minutes I've been eating lunch on Mondays at that lovely Russian Bistro you have in Georgetown.
"he Borscht is awesome there -- brilliant really!"
"Well alright then, see you at Lodge – don't forget the dog will you?"
Conclusions
Everybody likes a mystery, everybody wants to think that there is more to it than meets the eye – it is human nature. It is even better if you happen to hold the true word, – be in the know on secrets,– or have an axe to grind.
